As a seasoned professional, I have witnessed firsthand the power of a well-crafted career and its impact on one’s life. My mission is to empower you to confidently resolve your career challenges and chart your own course toward a fulfilling and prosperous life.
With over 25 years of corporate experience, I have led and managed multiple International Development Country Programs funded by several prestigious organizations such as The World Bank, WHO, UNICEF, USAID, CDC, The Global Fund, UNFPA, PMI, DFID, and many more, with budgets totaling US$ 300M. My experience working in 12 countries enabled me to adapt to diverse workstyles, cultures, and contexts, building trust, collaboration, and strong relationships with local partners, beneficiaries, and team members. I successfully coordinated with various stakeholders, including U.S. Government Agencies, Foreign Host Governments, Central Ministries, Donors, and Bi-lateral Funding Agencies.
Through my extensive corporate background, I developed a profound understanding of the unique challenges professionals face. Whether you are uncertain about your career path and long-term goals, feel stagnated and lack career progression despite experience and expertise, are challenged by leading diverse teams while navigating organizational politics, or struggle with retaining top talent, high turnover rates, and loss of institutional memory, I am here to provide the guidance and expertise you need to thrive.
I have not always had a rosy career myself. I understand the pain that comes with career transitions, seasons of unemployment, dealing with difficult work situations, and other related career challenges. I have personally faced and overcome such obstacles and more, and it is through my own experiences that I draw upon to help you navigate your challenges. So, even if you haven’t yet managed multimillion-dollar budgets, led large teams, or accumulated decades of experience as I have, I encourage you to consider letting me guide you through your current challenges.
In addition to my extensive corporate experience, I hold a diverse range of qualifications and certifications that further enhance my expertise as a career coach. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Makerere University, providing me with a solid foundation in understanding business dynamics and market trends.
To further deepen my knowledge and expand my skill set, I pursued an MBA from the University of North Texas, specializing in Logistics and Supply Chain. This advanced degree equipped me with strategic thinking, problem-solving, and operational management skills essential for navigating the complexities of today’s professional landscape.
To ensure that I stay updated with the latest trends and developments in the job market, I employ a multifaceted approach. Here’s an overview of how I stay informed:
1. Extensive Reading: I am an avid reader of various business journals and publications that cover topics such as human resources, staffing, company dynamics and performance, leadership, personal development, and self-help. By staying abreast of the latest articles and insights in these areas, I can provide my clients with up-to-date and relevant information.
To illustrate my work style, let me share a success story of a client I recently worked with. We shall call her Prudence. Prudence faced significant career challenges at her workplace. Her boss consistently took credit for her work, did not acknowledge her outputs or contributions, blamed her for group failures, and created an unhealthy work environment by requiring her to stay and work till late without additional compensation. Additionally, her boss started engaging in inappropriate behavior toward her, making her uncomfortable. Prudence sought my assistance to navigate these difficulties and explore opportunities for transitioning to a new company.
